Replacement Tree In Rickmansworth High Street

Sadly, at the end of September one of the two sweet gum trees at the entrance to Rickmansworth High Street was knocked over. We have been unable to find out how this happened.

Hertfordshire County Council stepped in and, thankfully, have supplied a well established replacement tree. We are very grateful to the Council as well as Sustainable Three Rivers volunteer Russell Ball for helping to make this happen. The tree is receiving regular watering to help it establish and thrive.

Urban trees are an important feature which bring wide benefits for communities. They produce oxygen whilst soaking up carbon dioxide and pollution. They can also help protect against flooding, as well as keeping us cool in the summer.
